A post about Greg

My baby Greg. Sometimes, I just want to freeze time and memorize all the little things about him. He's growing up much too quickly for my liking and going back to work next week is just making that all the more prominent in my mind.

Here are some things I want to capture in my mind, written for my G:

I always want to remember the adorable way you play with your pinky finger while sucking your thumb with the thumb and index finger of your other hand.  The way you love to dance and will dance to just about any tune, even if it's just me humming. The way you love to clap and will stop what you are doing if I say "good job" in order to clap for yourself. The surprising way you took your first steps (on Aug 23) and the perseverance with which you just kept walking every moment after that.  The way you squeal with delight when you see your best friend Valentina.  The way you nuzzle your head on me when you are tired.  The way you whine and complain by calling out "mamaaaaaa".  The way you adore your baba and will cry if I try to take you from his arms (unless you are ready to go to bed, in which case you leave baba stunned and confused).  The abuse you put up with from your brothers, especially in the car.  The beautiful smiles you love to flash. The amazing hugs you give that have earned you the nickname Teddy Bear Greg from Auntie Diana. The way you melt hearts by flirting with everyone wherever we go - you could be whining but if you see someone look at you, you stop and start with the charm.  The way you melt my heart every day. I love you so much.
