Finally... an update!

Well, i finally have a chance to update my blog! As most of you are probably aware by now, Saro & Ari Citak were born on Sunday March 11th... almost 2 weeks ago! I just haven't had a chance to update this blog since the boys have been keeping me pretty busy. I have a few minutes while they're napping... so i'll try to squeeze in as much info as I can before someone wakes up!

Here's a pic of me just before heading to the hospital. It's hard to believe how huge I was!! Then again, looking at my boys now, i wonder how they were both inside me just a short while ago!!


Labour was actually not as bad as i would have thought (thanks to the drugs!). I went to the hospital to be induced on Saturday March 10th. They broke my water around 11pm. 9 hours later (plus an hour to adjust for Daylight Saving Time) the boys were born! (By that point, I was 38 weeks, 5 days pregnant!)

We were released from the hospital on the following Wednesday and have been at home since. The boys are doing well and have steadily been gaining weight. We had a doctor's appointment today and found out they've already surpassed their birth weight! (In case you don't know, babies lose weight after they are born and the doctors want to make sure they start gaining it back. Ideally, i think they want the babies to be back to their birth weights by the 2 week mark.) So today, Saro weighed 2950g (6lbs, 8oz) and Ari weighed 2800g (6lbs, 3oz) meaning they're both doing well!

Gotta run... Ari is calling me!
