bed rest? didn't feel like it...

So yesterday was the longest day i've had to endure since being put on bedrest. I had a doctor's appointment at 11am and prenatal class at 6:30 so i was downtown the whole day. Most of the day was spent at the doctor's because they sent me to a different lab then the one in the hospital for the ultrasounds (hospital one was booked up). That lab totally totally sucked. It took us 1.5 hours to get out of there and they did not prepare the results for us to take back to the doctor's... They told us they'd fax it to the doctor in 15 minutes. Yeah right.

We went to the doctor's office and of course he was at lunch... so we went to have lunch ourselves. We get back to the doctor's office, still no results. Serdal went back to work and I went in to the see doctor at 2pm. Still no results. UGH. The only thing the doctor had to review was what I told him which was the babies weights. Baby A is back to being head up (he keeps flipping!!) and weighs 3lbs 14 oz. Baby B weighs 3lbs 9 oz. He said the weights are great. We don't know what the results were for my cervix length so he said they'll call me today to let me know.

The doctor then told me to do the test for Gestational Diabetes. So that took about an hour... you have to drink this sweet drink that tastes like orange crush, wait an hour, then they take your blood. I guess i'll get the results for this next time i see the doc...

So once all the doctor stuff was finally done, it was ~3:30. I called Windsor Arms and asked if they could do a pregnancy massage. They could so i took a cab over there and just lay down by the pool for a while, then had the massage. It was the most lying down i got to do the whole day. The massage was nice since my back and hips have been killing me. It could be from the bedrest but the doctor said it could also be because my bones are expanding to make room for the babies. Ouch!

I got back to the hospital in time for our next prenatal class... finally made it back home by 10pm, exhausted!
